Grandparents

My grandmother and me

Grandparents are truly a blessing from God. Lucky are those who still have their grandparents. There're some kids who are very clingy, they confide their feelings to their grandparents as they feel  their secrets are safe with them . In some cases the kids find their grandparents are more understandable than their parents who keep on  pesturing them with sets of instructions.

If you've spent some time with your grandparents I'm sure they must've told you about their stories, past experiences how they had to look for some source of income at an early age , they had no leisure time for them as they had to wash dishes, clothes look after family etc. I still remember my granny telling me how she would take my elder sister to school during rainy season because of unsurfaced roads. My elder sister, she was my granny's puppet, when she was a kid . She used to take her everywhere with her . Now you'll ask me why she would not take you with her ? As i was an infant that time and I used to be at home with my mom. We used to crack jokes and she would easily get annoyed.

Whenever we used fall sick she would always come with a pack of biscuits and sit beside us. She was an active woman but unfortunately she became ill and passed away recently, she'd become old though. We all were there when she was taking her last breath, saw how she was suffering and that feeling is indescribable.

So spend some time with your grandparents. You may never know when will be the last goodbye. Always pray to God for your family and for others because prayers are very powerful...
